Hi there, I'm Costoya. I work with images taken by myself, and out of context to provide a new meaning or feeling to them. The intention with my work is for it to be more of a game or puzzle for those who want to play, is a composition of elements and easter eggs that can adapt to new meanings and shapes. I personally like to keep my intentions abstract and in my head, once they are in writing, or I say them out loud, they get dry, bidimentional and horribly permanent and limited. But when they are open to interpretation they can be as infinite as the amount of people that sees them. I work in multiple medias that I have picked up during my studies, starting from courses of photography as a teenager, then I learned editing on different softwares from Industrial design at FADU, plastic mediums from my bachelor career at the UMSA, and some more tricks and techniques from experimentation and internships, for example at the Modern Museum of BsAs. I’ve developed my technique further with the guidance of the artist Bernardo Kehoe, and I gained some more experience from showcasing my work on different instances. I'm currently experimenting by mixing design, art, and an exploration of black on black compositions and materials. Like black holes telling stories.
